Taking Ingredient Transparency to the Next Level

We’ve made a powerful shift that’s rare in beauty: EVOLVh now owns 100% of its product development and ingredient sourcing. That means we personally select, purchase, and oversee every ingredient that goes into our formulas – ensuring each one meets our uncompromising standards for performance, purity, and sustainability.

A little-known fact: nearly all conventional and clean beauty brands rely on contract manufacturers to source ingredients on their behalf, which diminishes transparency. Ingredient names and lists are not enough. The same ingredient is often available from multiple suppliers with different production methods and different levels of commitment to clean standards, toxicity testing, and green chemistry. 

By taking this process fully in-house, we’ve essentially cut out the middleman – giving us direct access to the world’s best suppliers and unmatched insight into every material we use. The result? Elevated quality, greater supply chain control and transparency, and formulas that further distinguish EVOLVh as a leader in clean haircare innovation.

We wanted more: more insight, more intention, more control over the integrity of what we create because our community deserves the highest possible confidence in what they’re putting on their hair and scalp.

Here’s the truth: ingredient lists only tell part of the story.

Two formulas can share identical INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) names and yet have completely different performance and safety profiles, depending on the quality, source, and production method of each ingredient. That’s why direct sourcing and full ingredient traceability matter.

By knowing our ingredients at the source, not just by their ingredient list name, we can craft formulas that don’t just meet clean standards, but set new ones: scientifically advanced, biologically aligned, and grounded in integrity.
